Yossuf Al-Banawi
Cofounder/CEO
Yossuf Albanawi is the cofounder and CEO of Pilleve, a digital health company focused on improving medication safety and reducing the risk of addiction. He started pilleve after a personal experience with substance abuse that led him to realize the power of early intervention in preventing addiction.
Dr. Mary Lee
Scientific Advisor
Dr. Mary Lee received her medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1989. She completed residency in internal medicine at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and subsequently completed a psychiatric residency at George Washington University.
Simon Lee
Advisor
Simon Lee, MD completed his Anesthesiology Residency at NYPH-Cornell University after graduating from the 6 year combined BA/MD program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He has held several leadership roles both in private practice settings and at Emory University where he is currently an Assistant Professor. He will complete the Executive MBA program at the Goizueta Business School in 2021.
Beatrice Setnik
Advisor
Dr. Beatrice Setnik, PhD, has been working in the area of clinical drug development and abuse potential assessment since 2005. Dr. Setnik is currently the Chief Scientific Officer at Altasciences and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Toronto (Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology).
Nitin Srinivasan
Student Intern
Nitin Srinivasan is a rising senior at Rice University majoring in psychology. He is joining Pilleve this summer to better understand how opioid addiction can be prevented through early intervention. He plans on going to medical school and becoming a physician, with an interest in pursuing addiction psychiatry.
