Yossuf Al-Banawi

Cofounder/CEO

Yossuf Albanawi is the cofounder and CEO of Pilleve, a digital health company focused on improving medication safety and reducing the risk of addiction. He started pilleve after a personal experience with substance abuse that led him to realize the power of early intervention in preventing addiction. 

Gautam Chebrolu

Cofounder/CTO

Gautam works on any tech, design, and Kanye-related tasks for Pilleve. While studying Biomedical and Electrical & Computer Engineering, he becomes interested in making sure that medical devices were more accessible.

Dr. Kamran Saraf, MD

Chief Medical Officer

Kamran Saraf, MD, grew up in the Maryland suburbs of Washington D.C. and completed his medical training at various prestigious universities around the country before returning to his home state.

Collin O'Neill, RPh

Chief Operating Officer

Collin brings extensive pharmacy and business experience to Pilleve's leadership team. he is focused on developing strategy, executing projects, and scaling the team to build momentum, achieve rapid growth, and attract investment. 

Ashwin Prakash

VP, Engineering

Ashwin is an engineer from University Place, WA. He graduated with a degree in biomedical engineering from Duke in 2017, and has since focused on applying his background to social impact and community development. 

Brian Hack

Product Design Consultant

Brian is the owner of Boundless Design, an independent consulting firm that specializes in Mechanical Engineering and Product Design. He approaches design challenges with a passion for human centered design, focusing on the needs and experiences of the user.

Chuck Brodeur

Product Design Consultant

As President and Technical Consultant at Summit Design Services, Chuck works with companies, such as Pilleve, to help them develop and bring products to market, with a focus on the user experience and manufacturability.

Dr. Lonnie Zeltzer

Scientific Advisor

Lonnie Zeltzer, MD, is a Distinguished Research Professor of Pediatrics, Anesthesiology, Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and prior Founder and Director of the UCLA Pediatric Pain and Palliative Care Program. 

Dr. Mary Lee

Scientific Advisor

Dr. Mary Lee received her medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1989. She completed residency in internal medicine at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and subsequently completed a psychiatric residency at George Washington University.

Dr. Daniel Yohannes

Scientific Advisor

Dr. Yohannes earned his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry at Purdue University, and completed an NIH-funded postdoctoral fellowship at Yale University. His undergraduate degree was completed at Sterling College in Kansas.

Tim Cox

Advisor

Mr. Cox spent 11 years working with two non-profit agencies. Mr. Cox has served as the chair of the Legal and Housing Committees of the Pennsylvania nonprofit trade association and has spoken regionally and nationally on relevant topics in long-term care.

Helen Manich

Helen is an accomplished Senior Executive with 30 years of success across the telecommunications, wireless, satellite, alternative energy, and cyber security (hardware, network, software) industries.

David Rose

David Rose is an award-winning product designer, entrepreneur, and lecturer at the MIT Media Lab. David is on a mission to make technology subtle and polite; to dissolve into the fabric of the everyday.

Geoff Werth

Advisor

Geoff Werth has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare policy and the healthcare industry, having held senior policy positions both on and off Capitol Hill. Geoff has had the opportunity to work constructively with Congress on many important healthcare policy issues.

Simon Lee

Advisor

Simon Lee, MD completed his Anesthesiology Residency at NYPH-Cornell University after graduating from the 6 year combined BA/MD program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He has held several leadership roles both in private practice settings and at Emory University where he is currently an Assistant Professor. He will complete the Executive MBA program at the Goizueta Business School in 2021.  

Robert Jason Yong

R. Jason Yong, MD MBA is a practicing Anesthesiologist and Interventional Pain Medicine Physician.He has multiple peer-reviewed publications, has given numerous national and international lectures, and-is-editor in chief of a pain management textbook.

Beatrice Setnik

Dr. Beatrice Setnik, PhD, has been working in the area of clinical drug development and abuse potential assessment since 2005.  Dr. Setnik is currently the Chief Scientific Officer at Altasciences and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Toronto (Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology).

Tian Shi is an undergraduate at Georgetown University, pursuing a Biology major with a certificate in Entrepreneurship. She is interested in increasing the accessibility of STEM to society through innovative biotechnology and healthcare.

Ruemon Bhattacharyya

Ruemon Bhattacharyya is a 10th grade student from Sharon MA, a published author of 6 books sold on Amazon, a philanthropist, and a competitive State level singles tennis player.

Henrique Corte is a student at the University of Maryland with a double major in Statistics and Computer Science and a passion for making a difference. 

Nitin Srinivasan

Student Intern

Nitin Srinivasan is a rising senior at Rice University majoring in psychology. He is joining Pilleve this summer to better understand how opioid addiction can be prevented through early intervention. He plans on going to medical school and becoming a physician, with an interest in pursuing addiction psychiatry.

Ameer Atta

Student Intern

Ameer Atta is a rising PY3 at the UNC Eshleman School of Pharmacy. Prior to pharmacy school, he graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry with a minor in Chemistry. 

Priyanka Tejwani

Priyanka is a pre-med student at Duke University studying Health Systems and Population Health.
